Truth Insight

Hello World
I wanted to talk about the poem that I recently blogged. As I was watching this compelling documentary film, it gave me ideas to write about. I like this documentary because it shows how large corporations can abuse control.

Truth

Truth
Jerwayne Balentine

I gotta write the truth
Freedom’s dying
It’s hangin from a noose
People can’t see it
They say they need some proof
That’s why I write knowledge for the youth
As I exploit the thugs in the suits
The ones that don’t give two f’s about you
Are quick to move the troops

But they wouldn’t break a sweat to shoot

Minimize your rights and use tragedy as the excuse
To keep the people petrified and subdued
Using fear as the ultimate tool
To keep minds focused and confused on who’s the terrorist
Meanwhile they’re out to make the Constitution perish.
They do it so well you would think they won an Oscar
Keep America in debt and overcharge her

Making it hard for the working class to prosper

But they don’t care the money makes them careless
Leaving your sons and daughters nothing to inherit

WAITING

I’ve been waiting, contemplating

On my chance to prove that I’m capable

Of more than just livin’

Never mind my condition

I take this talent I’m given

So that I can transition

To a life that’s efficient for me

Then you will see

How I rise to the occasion

So watch and observe a legend in the making

But can’t do it without God cause he’s truly amazing

No debating he gave me the will to deal with frustration

To ignore those with low expectations

So no matter their input in the situation

This is my life, only I’m doing the creating

Others dictating acting as if they're illustrating

But I don’t listen to their perspective

I stay positive determined and aggressive

To achieve my objective

To be an artist regardless of my diagnosis

I’m focused on my future like an enemy to a sharp shooter

So I must hit the target

Gotta try hard cuz my life is the hardest

Even though the world will attempt to chew you up like lions chewing on a carcass

But I couldn’t be their harvest

Cuz my ego was too big

You could say it is the largest

Which made me courageous

Now there’s no more pain only happiness

So save the sorrow for yesterdays pages

Open up the door for rap’s greatest

This is one of my favorite documentary films. It's related to my moment of change. It goes in depth about how detrimental bad education can be. So if you ever get a chance to watch this documentary, I'd love to hear your opinions or insights about it.
